First stop Milan
The football squad has arrived in Milan ahead of Wednesday evening’s Champions League match against Inter. The weather in Milan was very similar to Barcelona: cloudy and cool.
The players left Barcelona under grey skies and occasional drizzle and found the same weather when they arrived in Milan. The temperature was a cool 15ºC.
A short flight
The charter aircraft left Barcelona airport at 11.20 am and landed in Milan just over an hour later.
Laporta in charge
The Barça party of 19 players plus the coaching staff, is led by Club president Joan Laporta. Vice-presidents Jaume Ferrer and Rafael Yuste, who spoke before the plane left, and Board members Albert Perrín, Josep Anton Colomer, Maria Elena Fort, Jordi Torrent, Patrick Auset, Xavier Bagués and Magda Oranich, also travelled with the squad.
Director of football Txiki Begiristain was unable to travel due to lumbago.
New kit
The players are wearing a new style tracksuit for the first time on this trip. The sky-blue outfit replaces the previous yellow tracksuit.
On arrival, the players went straight to the Hotel Melià Milano, situated in the Via Masaccio. They will stay here until the training session later in the day.
