Back in a legendary stadium
Three and a half years after their last match in the San Siro district of Milan, Barça are back in the Giuseppe Meazza. On Tuesday evening the players trained in the stadium ahead of their CL duel against Inter.
Whether you know it as the Giuseppe Meazza or the San Siro, the ground where Barça will kick off their CL campaign is a majestic stadium. Even when it rains. The players found this out for themselves at the training session on Tuesday evening.
A fast pitch
The 19-strong squad were able to see for themselves that the pitch is pretty fast due to the rain that fell throughout the day. The session started at 7 pm and manager Pep Guardiola arrived a few minutes late as a result of his press conference.
At the beginning of the session, Guardiola spoke for some time about tactical matters with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Meanwhile, Carles Puyol –who was substituted in the second half of the match against Getafe- warmed up separately from the group but then re-joined the rest of the players and took a full part in training.
